I’m a food addict, not only eating I love taking pictures of food, I love the colours, the smell and how they perfectly fit ones with another. Sometimes I even like to prepare them!
And this morning I found this food photography by Anna Williams, bon appetit!

In photography, light is the only power. Only by light and photosensitive materials or sensors react, the camera can produce images. Light itself has often been elected to do the object being photographed, to become the center of the screen in different forms.

Portraits, they seem really easy sometimes and mostly photographers only concentrates on the light, the background, edit, etc An if you are a Fashion photographer is so usually to see photos where the model has the same expression over and over again, because the most important thing are the clothes right?
Well yes, but a portrait is much more than Fashion or lighting, and when i found those pictures of Håkon Borg, I thought I should share them.
They are powerful, not for the colours or for the light, despite the fact that he use a good lighting; they are powerful for the expression of each subject. It’s unique and real, and I like that.

Let me introduce to you Nick Gentry, a british artist that use old floppy discs as canvas for his art. His portraits use a combination of obsolete media formats, making a comment on waste culture, life cycles and identity.

It’s been raining for some days in New York, not much but there’s water everywhere. And it got me thinking about underwater photography, I always wanted to try it, even if it’s only putting a doll inside a bowl. But you always have the problem of the glass between the camera and the subject.
So I was doing some reasearch and I found a couple of great underwater photography.
The First series is from one of the most elaborate sets in the world, British film production company Pinewood Studio where they capture breathtaking shots in a tank filled with 1.2 million liters (317,000 gallons) of water. The underwater stage, which opened in 2005, has been used for a huge number of TV commercials, music videos and films, including The Bourne Ultimatum, Atonement, Elizabeth and Casino Royale.

I use to buy a couple of Fashion magazines a month to look over articles and specially the photography, the editorials, famous photographers as Steve Meisel or Mario Testino, etc
But here I found that the magazines where sometimes too expensive, around $8 each, and that I have no space at the apartment where to left them or their pictures. In Barcelona I have all of them safe and ordered and the best pictures hanging on my wall.
That’s why I started being a fan of Vogue.com, especially Vogue.com/magazine. You can find videos of the shootings, slideshow with the best images, articles, etc
I would recommend to spend at least ten minutes if you have them, is worth it.
My favorites this week are: (the links of the images goes to the slideshow where you can find all the pictures)
There’s a good behind the scene video if anyone is curious.

I’ve never been a huge fan of black and white, I use it in some pictures but a lot of times I still get impress about the power, the energy it can give to a photo.

Been thinking for a couple of days what to shoot next. I’m creating different images with different objects and different types of light.
So I went out the web to search for some inspiration, and I found some really good images. I hope they will inspire you to grab your camara today.
